Clarinda Library holds book sale August 15-17

The Friends of the Lied Public library are hosting their annual book sale starting Thursday, August 15th. Library Director, Andrew Hoppmann, says The Friends of the Lied Public Library organization is the volunteer wing of the library.

"They sell used books to the community, and these books are often books donated to the library that we don't add to the collection or books that we've taken out of our library collection."

Hoppmann says the group donates the proceeds back to the library for them to buy more books or to help run programs.

"The Friends of the Library are going to host their booksale Thursday, August 15th, Friday, August 16th from 9:30 to 5:00 p.m.  And then Saturday is the last day of the book sale and that will be August 17th from 9:30 till about noon."

Hoppman says you can donate books to the book sale before and during the sale. To learn more about the Lied Public library book sale visit their website at clarindapubliclibrary.org .
